Here are the Skirt Nut® basics. More information is available on other tabs, but the main points are these:
1. Skirt Nut® is a 22mm safety flange nut for hub-piloted disc wheels only. It cannot be used on Budd-style wheels! Skirt Nut should be used on all stud positions to reduce disc flexing and improve tire mileage, also to maintain warranty and liability protection.

Graphic at left shows how Skirt Nut penetrates each stud hole, automatically centering the disc wheel on the hub. The inner wheel aligns itself to the outer almost as soon as the wheels begin to revolve with no loss of torque! This ensures a smooth ride, but more importantly, wheels cannot 'clock' - stay on the axle where they belong!
